Victor Canales
Victor is an engineer and mathematician with more than three decades' experience in surveys and censuses.
He has a long history of successful participation in Demographic and Health Surveys and Living Standards Measurement Surveys in many countries worldwide. He has worked with international organizations on projects covering a full range
of technical assistance activities in this field, throughout Latin America, the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and elsewhere.
Victor was a member of the core team which developed the industry-standard CSPro system for the US Bureau of the Census. He has participated in the design, budgeting and planning, implementation, fieldwork supervision, revision of sample designs, and staff training of over 50 large-scale household surveys. He has specific expertise in the area of population activities, and in management and consulting in information technologies for the social sectors as well as for financial and administrative applications.
Victor is a graduate of the University of Chile and lives in Santiago. He speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
