Jaime is one of the founding partners of Sistemas Integrales and is the company's legal representative. He is a qualified lawyer, with many years' experience in commercial law, and also holds a degree in Systems Analysis. He has acted as legal adviser to several IT companies and served for a time as President of Chile's Committee of Software Exporters.

As part of his responsibilities within Sistemas Integrales, he has managed numerous surveys and data-banks. He directed DISAL, a nation-wide survey of the management and performance of Chile's regional health services; he ran Sistemas Integrales' market research department, which conducted quantitative and market-share studies and opinion polls for major commercial clients; and he has participated in household surveys in several countries in Latin America and Africa, including large-scale food and nutrition, income and expenditure, and labour surveys.  

Jaime speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. He lives in Santiago.
