Beatriz Godoy

Beatriz has contributed to the successful implementation, over the last two decades, of dozens of large-scale household surveys in practically every part of the world. She has participated at every stage of the survey process: planning the budget and calendar of activities, working with stakeholders to design the questionnaires, planning and organising field-work,

training field staff, preparing intelligent data-entry programs and delivering documented data-sets to the survey analysts. Other types of study in which she has been involved include a longitudinal survey using Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI), governance and public service delivery, enterprise development and panel surveys.

For Beatriz, difficult logistical or security problems are merely a challenge. Electricity shortages in Nepal, countless ethnic groups scattered across the huge archipelago of Papua New Guinea, military conflict in Iraq - these and other obstacles were overcome thanks to inventive solutions.

Beatriz has a degree in mathematics from the University of Chile. She lives in Santiago and  speaks Spanish, French and English.
